Important changes to Altitude Rewards

Effective Friday, 9 November 2018, we will be making changes to the number of Altitude Points required to redeem Frequent Flyer points.

*Keep the same rates on Velocity Auto-Redemption1. If you have opted in to Velocity Frequent Flyer monthly Auto-Redemption, there will be no change to the number of Altitude Points required (refer to the table above). Altitude Rewards still offers a large variety of reward options that you can enjoy at the same redemption rates, including Gift Cards, Merchandise, Altitude Travel and more.

Are there any other changes to the program that I should be aware of?
From 9 November 2018, the minimum number of Altitude Points required to transfer to Velocity will be changing from 2 to 6 Altitude Points1. There are no further changes other than those listed above.

Will my Altitude Points balance change?
No. Your existing points balance will not be impacted as a result of this change.

How long do I have to redeem my Altitude Points on the transfer rates that are changing?
You have until 8 November 2018 to redeem your points on the current transfer rate. Velocity members may also wish to take advantage of the rate that isn’t changing: Velocity Auto-Redemption1. You can continue to redeem 2 Altitude Points for 1 Velocity Point by opting in to automatically transferring your Altitude Points across to your nominated Velocity Frequent Flyer Account each month. Set up your card(s) via altituderewards.com.au/autovff or by calling Altitude Rewards on 1300 887 820, Monday to Friday, 8am to 8pm (AEST).

Things You Should Know.

1. Set up Velocity Auto-Redemption via altituderewards.com.au or by calling 1300 887 820. For Westpac Altitude Cards: Once set up, each month your entire accumulated Altitude Points balance will be transferred to your nominated Velocity Frequent Flyer Account on your credit card statement date. All transfer of points will occur on your statement date. Please allow 3 business days for the processing of the transfers.
 
For American Express Westpac Altitude Cards: Once set up, each month your entire accumulated Altitude Points balance will be transferred to your nominated Velocity Frequent Flyer Account. The transfer of points will occur up to 3 business days after the date your accrued Altitude Points are transferred to your Altitude Rewards Account each month, which can take up to 10 business days In line with the American Express Westpac Altitude Cards Points Terms and Conditions.
 
For both Westpac Altitude Cards & American Express Westpac Altitude Cards: From 9 November 2018, a minimum of 6 Altitude Points will be required before points can be transferred. You will receive 1 Velocity Point for every 2 Altitude Points. Please allow 3 business days for the Velocity Points to appear in your Velocity Account. You must be a Velocity member to redeem Altitude Points for Velocity Points and your name, as it appears on your Velocity Account, must match the primary cardholder’s name on your Altitude Rewards account. Velocity Auto-Redemption is a variation to the Altitude Rewards Terms and Conditions and allows you to automatically convert your Altitude Points to Velocity Points for less than 3,000 Altitude Points. The redemption of Altitude Points is otherwise subject to the Altitude Rewards Terms and Conditions. You will not receive points if your card account is in arrears for 2 consecutive statement cycles and in other circumstances. Once Altitude Points have been transferred, they are governed by the Velocity Membership Terms and Conditions and cannot be reversed. You can opt-out of Velocity Auto-Redemption by calling the Altitude Rewards centre on 1300 887 820, 8am-8pm (AEST), Monday to Friday.
